Rapper/Entrepreneur Tan DaGod was fatally shot in Oakland on Saturday afternoon.
She was known for her soulful sounds and engaging lyrics. Her most recent release was the official music video for “Mac and Cheese,” which revealed her raw abilities and emphasized her obstacles and victories in the music industry.
Recordings from the occurrence depicted broken glass and a hole in the back window of a vehicle. Authorities answered to the shooting in the 4000 block of Telegraph Ave, close to 5 p.m. The victim was pronounced deceased at a medical facility, and another person was wounded but is in stable condition.
The shooting happened as a grand opening of Glamor Beauty Supply was taking place, where Tan DaGod had been advertising a meet-and-greet event on Instagram.
Authorities are now working to find the shooter as no apprehensions have been made in the case.
