PVAMU Employee Fatally Shot By Former Employee On Campus

An investigation is underway after an employee was killed by a former employee at Prairie View A & M University Monday morning.

Authorities responded to a shooting call on campus, around 9:30 a.m., at the Governor Bill and Vera Daniels Farm and Ranch.

They located a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. Unfortunately he died at the scene.

The suspect, a former employee, was arrested by authorities while trying to flee the scene.

PVAMU issued a shelter in place for students and staff and it has since been lifted. All classes were closed for the remainder of the day.
