Protest To Take Place At A McDonald’s In Ft. Worth After Manager Threatens To Shoot Black Man

1.4kviews

On Friday, November 5, 2021, at 5pm, Black Human Rights leaders, demonstrators, and other defense groups will be protesting. This will be at a McDonalds in Ft. Worth at 3300 Hulen St.

According to a witness, Mr. LaShae McVey, a 34 year-old Black man, was assaulted by a white manager, Bryan Joel Blanton. It was said that while customer McVey was in the drive-thru, Blanton took out a loaded firearm. He threatened to kill McVey, who didn’t have a weapon, if he got out of his vehicle. He did so in front of the customer’s wife and children.

Blanton, the owner’s son, allegedly assaulted McVey because he wanted a refund after feeling as if the customer service was poor.

When authorities arrived, they seemingly took Blanton’s side. Many community members feel that the Fort Worth Police Department is covering the incident up because the father of the “perpetrator” is an ex-police officer.

McVey is said to make a statement at the demonstration.
