A car crash on Thursday morning claimed the life of McKenna Johnson of Frisco after her vehicle struck a parked semi-trailer.
Frisco Police Department responded to the scene of the crash on Coit Road near Main Street at around 8 a.m. Thursday. Johnson was transported to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Officials have now identified McKenna Johnson as a 23-year-old music teacher for Prosper ISD. She was an assistant choir director at Rushing Middle School and Hays Middle School.
According to her LinkedIn profile, she graduated in May 2023 from Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in Music Education and completed her student teaching at McKinney ISD.
Prosper ISD has made crisis counselors available to staff and students during this tough time.
