Evan Hernandez used to be a professional skater. Now he has pleaded guilty to selling close to 2 lbs. of meth and stealing Bitcoin. He did so by “laundering it to other dark web traffickers.”
Reports reveal that Hernandez has been given a 97-month sentence.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Hernandez distributed drugs and worked with drug dealers to distribute meth over one of the biggest dark web selling sites. They say that the activity took place between March 2018 and March 2019.
Hernandez was accused of playing an essential part in ensuring that the operation went well. This included getting many types of narcotics, selling them to people himself, and “laundering money on the backend in a sophisticated manner.”
Not only will he have to serve time, but Hernandez had to give up his 2010 Mercedes-Benz, $35,000 in cash, and several watches, necklaces, and rings.
