The White House has announced that President Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID-19. His symptoms are said to be mild.
Per ABC News, 81-year-old Biden tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday. He was supposed to be speaking at the UnidosUS conference in Las Vegas, on Wednesday, as well.
Now, Biden will be heading back to Delaware and will continue his presidential duties there, in self-isolation.
The White House has vowed to keep the public informed on his status.
Biden’s doctor has noted that he has been administered his first dose of Paxlovid as all his vital signs appear to be normal.
“Good. I feel good,” Biden said when asked how he felt while leaving Las Vegas.
