Los Angeles police are investigating if Pop Smoke’s murder is somehow connected to the murder of a man whose body was found inside a barrel on Malibu beach.
On July 31, the body of an upcoming Los Angeles rapper Javonnta Murphy aka Sirtanky was found floating inside a barrel in the water at Malibu Lagoon State Beach. It was said that a lifeguard noticed the 55 gallon barrel and retrieved it.
According to TMZ, Javonnta Murphy is the brother of Jaquan Murphy, one of the five people arrested following the murder of rapper Pop Smoke. Jaquan was later cleared of all charges related to Pop Smoke’s death.
“L.A. County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the possibility of Javonnta’s murder being a revenge killing for Pop Smoke. Although theh have other speculations as well.
Pop smoke was murdered back in 2020 during a home invasion robbery at an Airbnb he had to rented in Hollywood Hills.
