Police say a woman chased her sister’s stolen car and shot the 2 people inside

Police say a Missouri woman chased her sister’s stolen car and allegedly shot the two occupants after the vehicle crashed and burst into flames.

Francesca Jones, 32, was driving with three children when she saw her sister’s Dodge Challenger pass her on the road, it had been stolen the day before, said police.

Jones chased after the  Challenger until it crashed into a truck and veered off the road before catching fire, the Kansas City Star reported, citing a Thursday press release from authorities.

Then Jones allegedly got out of her car and shot two people inside the stolen vehicle, one of them fired back at her, police said.

Jones told detectives she wanted to force the car to stop by ramming into it, said authorities.

The condition of the two gunshot victims is unknown.

The three children’s relationship with Jones is also unknown.

Jones was arrested at the scene, police located her gun in the trunk of her car

The charges Jones is facing are three counts each of assault, armed criminal action, and endangering the welfare of a child, authorities said.

A judge set her bond at $750,000.
