3kviews

After a gun was located in his suitcase in Cancun, a police officer from Tennesse has been placed in jail.

Lemandries Hawes is a part of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. On July 9, he was apprehended at the Cancun airport. His department stated that he declared his own personal weapon with the airline. However, Mexican law still doesn’t allow bringing guns inside that country.

Hawes began working for the department in October and just completed the academy in February. He has been employed as a Tennessee law enforcement officer for five years.

Metro police is communicating with the officer’s relatives as he is still in custody in Mexico.
