On, December 23, a Las Vegas Metropolitan police officer conducted a traffic stop on a Toyota Tundra. The operator of the vehicle stopped in the Spring Valley community and then drove away.

Authorities tailed the truck for three miles to a parking garage of a casino. Later on, a Chevrolet Avalanche exited the garage.

Because they thought it could be the same driver, police followed that tuck for two miles to an apartment complex.

Eric Holland, 57, exited the vehicle, didn’t follow commands, tried to run, and was tased and detained.

When both stolen trucks were searched, authorities discovered a black plastic trash bag with a bad smell and a head in one of them.  They also discovered coolers with human legs and a lower body.

The deceased was identified as Richard Miller, 65, of Las Vegas. His death was ruled a homicide because of the many gunshot injuries.

Defense lawyers said that Holland stole the truck in the garage and didn’t know what was in it.

However, prosecutors say that Miller was Holland’s associate. They added that Holland was also seen on camera at Home Depot buying a saw and plastic bags.

Holland will appear in court again on January 27.
