A Plano woman plead guilty to four counts of hate crimes during a rant in 2022.
On August 24, 2022 59 year old Esmeralda Upton was arrested at the Sixty Vines Restaurant in the 3700 block of Dallas Parkway after physically assaulting three women of Asian descent and assaulting a fourth.
Upton yelled out things like “I hate you f***ing Indians. Go back to India… we don’t want you here.”
When Plano police arrived she continued to yell racist comments like “Don’t f*** with me, I will blow your f***ing curry.”
Last Friday Upton was convicted on three misdemeanor assault charges and one misdemeanor terrorist threat charge.
A Collin Countg judge sentenced her to two years of community supervision probation and 40 days of confinement in the Collin County jail for each case.
