Clifton Milton, 27, is a pimp in Houston, Texas, who made a 15-year-old girl engage in sexual activities with strangers. A 13-year-old girl is also said to be one of his victims, officers say.
After a week’s long trial, Milton had been convicted of trafficking a child. He was given 28 years in prison by a judge.
“This is a pimp who profited from selling a child to strangers for sex. We hope he serves every day of his sentence. A person who can do something like that needs to be kept off our streets and away from our children,” stated Kim Ogg, the Harris County DA.
Because of the District Attorney’s Office’s Project 180, a prosecution was able to be carried out. This initiative involves a multidisciplinary group that identifies individuals who have been human trafficked and charging those who exploit them.
“This defendant, even after being convicted by a jury, refused to take responsibility for trafficking a juvenile. He’ll have plenty of time in prison to think about what he did and hopefully take responsibility,” said the assistant DA who prosecuted the matter.
