Philando Castile’s Killer Acquitted Of Murder Charges

Officer Jermino Yanez, killer of Philando Castile, was acquitted of manslaughter and two counts of dangerous discharge of a firearm.
Remember the story in Minnesota back in 2016 where Castile was with his girlfriend Diamond Reynolds and their 4 year old daughter and was pulled over by officer Yanez and shot several times in front of his girlfriend and daughter. Castile did have a firearm on him with his permit and tried to inform the officer.
Although Yanez was acquitted the city of Anthony, Minnesota decided to end his employment because “the public will be best served if officer Yanez is no longer a police officer in our city”. They also offered him a voluntary separation agreement to help him find another career.
