Pedestrian Struck And Killed By Off Duty Dallas Police Officer

Dallas police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed by an off duty officer Sunday night.
According to authorities the officer was on his way home driving westbound on the service road on the 8100 block of LBJ Freeway, when a pedestrian stepped off the curb into the street and was struck by the officers vehicle.
Emergency crews pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene and the officer was not injured.
This investigation is ongoing.
