An investigation is underway after a man in a wheelchair was struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday night.
Around 9:30 p.m., Dallas officers responded to a crash at the intersection of Abrams Rd and E. Northwest Hwy. Upon arriving they found a man lying in the roadway next to a wheelchair.
Emergency crews arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene.
According to reports the man was trying to cross Abrams Rd when he was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound. The driver did not stop to render aid.
This is an ongoing investigation.
