51-year-old Ronnie Goines, the leading and founding pastor at Koinonia Christian Church, in Arlington, Texas, surrendered to authorities in Tarrant County on Thursday. This comes after two warrants for his arrest were issued, regarding sex crimes.
According to Fox4 News, not only is Goines a pastor, but he has also served on Arlington’s Unity Council and used to be a part of the Arlington Police Department’s clergy and police partnership initiative.
Now, he has been charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of indecent assault after a woman reported the offenses in June.
At this time, there is not much information on the matter, and it isn’t known what relationship Goines had with his accuser.
Additionally, it isn’t known if other victims were involved. However, the sexual assault investigation is continuing.
