6.5kviews

Last week, a woman on a train in Philadelphia was sexually assaulted. Meanwhile, passengers placed their cellphones up in the air and aimed it in the direction of the incident instead of calling authorities.

Now, officials are attempting to find out if the passengers actually recorded the occurrence from Wednesday evening.

35 year-old Fiston Ngoy was apprehended for the assault on the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority Market-Frankford line. He faces rape and assault charges.

His last residence was at a homeless shelter, and he is currently in custody on a $180,000 bail.

Authorities weren’t aware of what transpired until a transportation official saw what was going on. Officers arrived within 3 minutes of the notification.

Ngoy and the victim got on the train at the same time. He sat next to the woman for 40 minutes and harassed her. Then, he was seen pulling the woman’s pants down.

He was pulled off of the woman when the worker saw him.
