Paris Officer Arrested And Relieved Of Duty After Assaulting Woman

A police officer in Paris, Texas has been relieved of his duties after assaulting a woman on Cinco De Mayo.

Officer Hunter Armstrong, 37, who was off duty at the time, is said to have assaulted a woman at the Sunset Lounge. When authorities arrived they found a female victim with lacerations to her face.

Armstrong was arrested and booked into Lamar County Jail on charges of felony assault, interference, and public intoxication. He was later released on bond.
