Alberto “Alpo” Martinez, 55, was a drug kingpin who was depicted in the 2002 movie, “Paid In Full.”
After supposedly leaving a club, around 3:30am on Sunday morning, Martinez was shot five times in the chest as he sat in his truck in Harlem. He was transported to a hospital where he died from his wounds.
Martinez was a drug dealer from New York City. He was incarcerated for many decades for murdering his partner, Rich Porter in 1991. Additonally, he was in the witness protection program after testifying against other drug dealers to help himself.
Subsequent to becoming an informant for the government, he was able to avoid being given a life sentence. He was released in 2015.
It is said that he had alot of enemies who may have wanted to get revenge.
There is currently no information on whether Martinez was still in the witness protection program or if he just returned to his old stomping grounds for a visit.
