Owner Of ‘Sex Dungeon’ Kept Body Buried For Over 2 Years, Receives 6-Year Sentence

A man in Long Beach, California, has been given six years and eight months in a state prison. This comes after a judge stated that he managed “a sex dungeon with the promise of drugs.”

Scott Leo, 55, was first charged with murder after being apprehended in August 2020. Zachary Kennedy, 31, was discovered buried with his feet cut off, in a backyard after more than two years of been missing.

Kennedy had last been observed at Leo’s residence on October 22, 2017.

During the investigation, prosecutors learned that Leo knew that Kennedy was having a medical emergency due to an overdose but never did anything about it. This led to Kennedy’s parents not receiving the proper closure because Leo hid the body. At the same time, Leo kept having drug parties while Kennedy’s body wasn’t too far away.

On March 1, Leo was placed back in custody. This came after he was found guilty of maintaining or selling or using a controlled substance. He was also convicted of two felony counts of sale/transportation/offer to sell a controlled substance involving methamphetamine and GHB.

Previously, a judge stated that there wasn’t enough proof that would require Leo to face trial for murder. However, the judge has now denied the defense lawyer’s request for probation. The judge said that Leo’s residence was a house of horror. There, he would get young men to enter “a sex dungeon with the promise of drugs.”
