Over $700,000 Worth Of Cocaine Seized At US-Mexico Border

On March 29, 2022, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents were stationed at the Hidalgo International Bridge.

CBP agents pulled over a white Chevrolet van coming into the United States from Mexico. While searching the van officers found 37 packages of alleged cocaine weighing 92.72 pounds.

While an investigation is ongoing, there have been no identities released, but they confiscated the packages and vehicle.

“Our CBP officers remain vigilant and rely on their experience and all available tools and resources to thwart this smuggling attempt,” Port Director Carlos Rodriguez said in the statement.
