On-Duty Police Officer Terminated After Stealing Shoes From Dick’s Sporting Goods

Officer Robin Conner, a police officer from Columbus, Mississippi, has been accused of stealing a pair of shoes and has now been terminated.

On Wednesday, Conner was charged with misdemeanor shoplifting after taking shoes from Dick’s Sporting Goods without purchasing them.

Authorities say that Conner had on her uniform and was on-duty when she was apprehended.

The Columbus City Council held an executive session where they talked about the job performance of a patrol officer.

A press release didn’t name Conner, specifically.

But, the release did note that it was linked to an occurrence at Dick’s Sporting Goods on Wednesday.

Conner could have attended the meeting but chose not to.

The officer was fired effective immediately.

In Columbus, only the city council can vote to employ or terminate employees.
