A paraplegic Ohio man has filed a complaint with the NAACP after being dragged out of his vehicle by a police officer.
Owensby accused the Dayton Police Department (DPD) of profiling, unlawful arrest, illegal search and seizure, and failure to read him his rights before being taken to jail.
Clifford Owensby,39 was pulled over by officers on September 30.

During the stop officers asked him to step out of the vehicle so the K-9 could perform a smell check.
Owensby told officers he was a paraplegic and could not step out of the vehicle with assistance.
Officers were then seen on body-cam video dragging Owensby out of his vehicle by his dreads.
Owensby received a citation for failure to restrain a child and for his window tint being too dark.
He plead not guilty in court Friday.
Owensby’s attorney James Willis says they plan to file a civil lawsuit within the next month.

  1. I pray he win the case… officers had no business pulling this man by his hair eapecially knowing he is paralyzed. They could have caused more injury even though they did say they would assist him in getting out the vehicle they should have been cautious of the way they handled him.

  2. Please update up on if the guy is ok, if he did in fact sue the Dayton police department.
And I really must say, it sucks that only 2 out of 20 comments were for the guy. The rest of the comments were ads and links to gay online dating. Smh
