A wanted felon was spotted around 2:30 a.m. by Dallas police officers. He was driving a dark-colored car through an apartment complex at 9350 Skillman Street.
The officers attempted to pull the man over; however, he fled. In doing so, he hit occupied squad cars and parked vehicles.
Eventually, the suspect came to a dead-end section of the apartments. A police vehicle blocked him in, and he opened his door and began to fire at the officer. The bullets struck the police car, and the officer fired back.
No one was hit by gunfire in the incident. However, three officers, that were sitting in their squad cars when they were rammed, were taken to a hospital for minor injuries.
After being tased, the suspect, an adult White male, was also taken to a medical facility.
The matter is currently being investigated and has been documented as case no. 043468-2022.
