A deputy with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office was terminated after an investigation of misconduct.
Last June, an internal affairs probe started after allegations of misconduct were made against Deputy Sheriff Joshua Brack.
The complaint was made after authorities went to his apartment in response to a “civil dispute.” His ex-girlfriend said that they had broken up for the third time.
She then informed authorities of a list of sexual misconduct and criminal accusations against him. One allegation was that Brack was having sex with male prostitutes while on-duty.
Investigators couldn’t find criminal evidence against Brack. But, they did determine that there was evidence that showed some misconduct.
Brack’s former girlfriend disclosed that he sent her recordings and pictures of crime scenes. This includes a photo of a deceased individual on the street.
The investigation found that on May 1, 2021, Brack recorded a person who was dead and had been decapitated. He then sent the recording to his ex-girlfriend.
It was also discovered that Brack sent three naked pictures from his personal email to his work email. His uniform and radio can be seen in view.
Additionally, a GPS monitor was placed in Brack’s patrol car. It was discovered that he was traveling outside of the county for reasons not connected to work.
On another occurrence, Brack failed to answer to an emergency call. This was because he was smoking a cigarette and talking with a man.
When evidence was revealed to Brack, he confessed to most of the misconduct. However, he says sending the nude pictures of himself was unintentional.
Brack stated that nothing he did was criminal, and the investigation showed no criminal activity was done by him.
