An Atlanta Police officer was carjacked at gunpoint in the Little Five Points neighborhood Saturday night.
According to APD, the off-duty officer said he was driving on Moreland Avenue when he got stuck in traffic. While stopped in traffic, a male suspect got out of a nearby car, pointed a gun at the officer and demanded his 2019 Dodge Charger.
The victim got out of the car and ran to a nearby business where he called 911.
The vehicle was later found abandoned at the 600-block of Moreland Avenue.
An investigation was launched and remains ongoing.
