A man is claiming that he bought a Popeyes chicken sandwich in NYC and says a joint fell out while he was eating it.
On Monday Jeremy Merdinger,23 posted to Twitter expressing his frustrations regarding a Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich he claims he purchased on November 4 from a Manhattan location.
He says he bought two sandwiches from the restaurant and took them home to eat.
He claims he ate the first one fine and then when he got to the second one he was eating it when a doobie fell out of it and almost made him sick to his stomach.
He says he emailed the store to complain and also sent a picture of the sandwich but has yet to get a response.
Upset that he got no response Merdinger went to Twitter and posted a picture of his sandwich with the doobie on the side.
Popeyes chicken sandwich returned on November 3 after the huge demand and has already caused fights, a death, and now joints falling out the food.
A Popeyes rep said they are investigating the customers claim.
“We have high standards for the quality of our ingredients and the preparation of our food. We take all feedback about our emails seriously and quickly take action to make sure all our guests have a good experience.”
