Two years ago, Darius Tarver was fatally shot by police in Denton, Texas.
Now, the medical examiner has revealed the autopsy results for the UNT student. The toxicology report has shown that there were not any drugs are alcohol in Tarver’s system when he died.
On January 21, 2020, authorities stated that they responded to a call to an apartment complex. There, they found Tarver acting abnormally with a meat cleaver and a frying pan in his hands.
Police tried unsuccessfully to calm Tarver down as he ran up to an officer and stabbed him with the meat cleaver. Then, four other officers deployed a stun gun and fatally shot him.
There was no indictment by the Denton County grand jury. Furthermore, Tarver’s relatives say that he was dealing with a mental health situation at the time.
He didn’t disobey commands he was in a mental crisis and came down as he was told, but unable to communicate or respond any well trained officer would no a person in crisis is likely not able to communicate or comply. Thats why time distance and cover is important. You are never to crowd their space are yell rapid commands. He did not attack officers they gave him 28 seconds while crying out to God and the officers although there was no eminent threat or danger attacked him tasering and immediately shooting him. Then allowing him to get up holding nothing but a flimsy frying pan 4 armed officers present same officer shoots him 2 more times in the chest after already shooting him in the stomach .The facts are in the video.
