Dallas police released a new mugshot for Leonard Lamar Neal, who is accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 7 year old girl.
41 year old Neal was arrested July 7 on a DART bus near Camp Wisdom Rd and Polk Street by authorities.
Neal attempted to slit his throat but authorities were able to detain him. He was then transported to Methodist Dallas where he was treated for his injuries and taken into custody.
On June 11, Neal picked up a 9 year old boy and a 7 year old girl on the 1500 block of Argentia Drive and took them to a nearby corner store. When the boy got out Neal drove off with the girl.
The girl was found later that night wandering near her apartment complex and taken to a hospital to be checked out. The 9 year old was found in a parking lot by a passerby.
Neal is being charged with aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping/sexual abuse and kidnapping. He remains in Dallas County jail on a $1,100,000.00
bond.
