New Dallas Grocery Service Strives To Assist Food Desert Neighborhoods

1.4kviews

In order to gain more access to groceries for those who reside in South Dallas communities, a new ordering and delivery system is being implemented.

Grocery Connect is a no-cost ordering and pickup service that was started by Bonton Farms in connection with Kroger Delivery. It allows residents to order food on the Kroger website for the upcoming week. The groceries then have to be retrieved from a pickup spot in the community.

On Tuesday, at 3:30 p.m., there will be a grand opening at the South Dallas Fair Park Inner City Community Development Corporation on Spring Ave., close to Dolphin Road.

The program will include live music, treats, games, and more.

Those in the community are invited to come out and gain knowledge on how the service will proceed.
