On Tuesday morning, convicted North Texas killer, Billy Chemirmir, was killed in a state prison. Chemirmir is thought to have committed more than 20 murders.

50-year-old Chemirmir had been sentenced to life in prison without parole after he was found guilty twice of capital murder by juries in Dallas County. He is said to have killed 20 other women in Dallas and Collin Counties and still had charges against him for those offenses.

Reports indicate that Chemirmir was discovered dead in his cell, and his cell- mate, who also was incarcerated on murder charges, is said to be the assailant.

The cellmate’s name hasn’t been publicly released, and it isn’t known how Chemirmir died.

Chemirmir was being held at the Coffield Unit in Tennessee Colony, close to two hours away from Dallas.
