Murder Warrant Issued For Christopher Carter In Connection With Missing Teen Found Deceased
Lubbock Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Christopher Carter in connection with the murder of 18 year old Lakaria Moore.
On May 21, LPD were called to a residence on the 2100 block of North Jayton Avenue for a missing person shortly after 9pm. Moore was entered into the National database as a missing/ endangered persons.
While investigating officers learned that Moore was last seen with 39 year old Christopher Carter.
On May 22, authorities received a call regarding Carter’s car being spotted near North County Road 3000 and East County Road 6650.
Upon arrival they located a deceased woman’s body inside the vehicle. They then responded to another call on the 2400 block of East 5th Street, that was possibly connected to the investigation.
A warrant was executed for the residence and on May 23, a medical examiner identified the deceased woman as Moore’s body.
Based on all evidence authorities were able to obtain a murder warrant for Carter.
