A man suspected of killing his ex girlfriend on January 6 in Los Angeles, California killed himself in Dallas, Texas Saturday.
According to reports Irving PD was assisting the FBI Federal Task Force of Los Angeles to locate Herbert Nixon Flores,46.
Flores is accused of killing his ex girlfriend and fleeing to Irving, Tx to visit family.
During the investigation Irving PD Fugitive Unit located Flores in Arlington.
While monitoring they noticed Flores get into a vehicle and start traveling towards Dallas.
Air units followed Flores until patrol units were in the area.
Once he realized he was being followed he abandoned the vehicle and took off on foot.
When authorities tried to approach Flores he shot and killed himself with a handgun.
