Mother Sentenced To 24 Years In Prison After Son Shoots Himself In The Mouth With Her .380 Ruger

A judge sentenced a Colorado sprigs mother to 24 years in prison for the death of her 2 year old son in 2018 after he shot himself with her gun.
The incident happened on October 21,2018 when officers responded to a shooting call on Hartford St.
When officers arrived they found Melissa Adamson,33 holding her deceased son Lokhi Bloom,2.

Adamson’s son liked playing with you squirt guns and was playing a game when he accidentally grabbed his moms pink .380 Ruger in his mouth and pulled the trigger.
Her son was pronounced dead at the scene.
Adamson was a recovering methamphetamine addict and told police she had loaded the gun after a drug dealer threatened her life.
Authorities found an ax, drug needles and two toy squirt guns within reach of her son and two other children.
Adamson plead guilty in September child abuse resulting in death and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and admitting to giving marijuana to children.
