Mother Jumps to Her Death with Baby and 9-Year-Old at Niagara Falls

New York police are investigating the deaths of a mother and her two children after they went over Niagara Falls.

On October 28, 2024, around 9:00 P.M., New York State Park Police and the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation responded to an incident near Goat Island in Niagara Falls, NY.

Upon arrival authorities learned that three individuals Chianti Means, 33, Roman Rossman, 9, and Mecca Means, 5 months—who all reside in Niagara Falls, NY, crossed over a safety guardrail and fell over Niagara Falls from Luna Island.

Authorities have determined that this incident was intentional; however, the circumstances are still under investigation.

Search and rescue operations conducted by New York State Park Police and State Police yielded no results. There is currently no public safety threat associated with this incident.
