A mother in Norcross, Georgia, is charged with murder after her 1-year-old baby died on Christmas Day.
Oluwadamilola Imafiabo, 29, was taken into custody at the Gwinnett County jail. She faces murder and cruelty to children charges in the second degree.
When authorities arrived to the scene of a call regarding a dead child, the mother said that the child died the day before after being struck by a truck while playing outside. However, she didn’t take him to get medical attention. At first he looked fine she said, but he died later on.
After an autopsy was conducted, officials determined that what the mother said was not true. She was apprehended, charged, and was in jail as of Monday, with no bail.
A reward of $2,000 is being offered to anyone with more information on the case.
