Mother Begs For Help In Identifying Three Suspects Who Killed Her Son, A Houston Fashion Store Owner

In March, an owner of a fashion store in Houston was fatally shot when someone attempted to rob him at his business.

On Tuesday, the man’s relatives and authorities begged the public for assistance in helping to name three suspects in the case.

“How can you come in someone’s place of business and just take away a life? That’s not fair at all…,” said Angela Archield, the mother of the victim.

“I ask every Black mother if you see your sons going down the wrong path, just take one day. If you tell them everyday, ‘I love you,’ so that they’re not going out in this world killing people for nothing.”

On March 19, authorities arrived to Newly Acquired Wealth & Fashion in the 12700 block of North Freeway, at close to 7 p.m.

They then discovered Matthew Archield, 33, with several gunshot injuries, including one to his head. He was swiftly transported to a medical facility. However, on March 23, he passed away after life support was removed.

Detectives have provided pictures of the three suspects who are said to be Black men between the ages of 20 and 30.

A $5,000 Crime Stoppers reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
