A mother has been arrested a year after her son and daughter were found decapitated in their California home.
Natalie Brothwell,44 was arrested in her Arizona home and charged with two counts of murder and two counts of child endangerment Tuesday.
She is currently being held at the Pima County Jail pending extradition back to California.
On December 4,2020 firefighters responded to a gas leak on the 45000 block of Century Circle around 7:50am.
Upon arrival they found the children Maurice Taylor Jr.,12 and Maliaka Taylor,13 decapitated inside the home.
The father, Maurice Taylor Sr, was arrested at and charged with two counts of murder and child abuse under circumstances likely to cause great bodily harm.
He remains in custody on a $4.2 million bond.
