Kristy Siple is accused of taking money from someone so that they could have sex with and sodomize her minor child.
Authorities say that the mother has now been charged in the 5-year-old’s death. She was apprehended this week for murder and human trafficking.
The body of Kamarie Holland was found in an unoccupied residence in Phenix, Alabama, in early December, after her mother reported her missing from Georgia. Her cause of death was determined to be asphyxiation from a ligature.
Before her apprehension, Siple had stated that she wasn’t involved in her daughter being missing or dying.
“I’m a mommy. I didn’t have nothing to do with this. She was my life. I lived for her daily. She was my only girl. I have 3 boys and her.”
Jeremy Tremaine Williams, 37, has been charged with capital murder in the girl’s death.
Siple had initially told police that when she woke up on December 13, at 5:50 a.m., her front door was a ajar and her daughter was gone.
The child was found later that evening in the abandoned home in Alabama. Officials have said that Williams, Siple’s associate, used to reside at the location where the girl was discovered.
