The week-long search for a missing University of Texas at Dallas student has concluded after campus police confirmed his death Saturday.
20-year-old Andrew Li, a sophomore at UTD, was last seen leaving his dorm on Feb. 24. According to his mother, Li left behind his cell phone, backpack, and laptop before disappearing, prompting her to report it to campus authorities.
UT Dallas police listed Li as missing but stated there was no evidence of foul play or threat to the campus community.
On March 2nd at 7:38 a.m., the Richardson Police Department located the body of a deceased male under the DART rail tracks near Renner Road and Routh Creek Pkwy.
The official cause of death is pending toxicology results from the Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office.
