Missing 5-Month-Old Kason Thomas Discovered Alive Inside Vehicle After Being Kidnapped
Kason Thomas, 5 months old, was kidnapped along with his twin brother on Monday in Columbus, Ohio.
On Thursday, he was found alive in Indianapolis. This came a few hours after the woman who is said to have taken them, Nalah Jackson, 24, was apprehended.
Authorities say that Kason was safe and well and was being checked out at a medical facility. They added that the baby was found close to a Papa John’s in the same vehicle that Jackson had taken on Monday, and he had on the same clothes.
The child, and his twin brother, Kyair, were in a 2010 Honda Accord when their mother had gone inside of a pizza restaurant to retrieve a DoorDash order.
Court documents show that Jackson had been sitting inside of the restaurant. She then exited out of a side door, got in the vehicle with the twins, and left the location.
On Tuesday, around 4:45 a.m., Kyair was discovered abandoned outside of Dayton International Airport and was given back to his family. Kason was discovered two days later.
Jackson is now facing two counts of kidnapping.
On Thursday night, the Columbus Police chief commented on the matter.
“We are grateful to the public for their help throughout this investigation and for the tireless work of our officers and our many partner agencies. They never stopped, never gave up hope, and would not rest until Kason was found. We are beyond thankful for their relentless dedication.”
Kason will be reunited with his twin brother soon.
