44-year-old Leroy Littles began working as principal at Olmsted Academy North in Louisville, Kentucky, on Monday. He was then arrested that same day.

“Welcome, Principal Littles,” a sign read in front of the school.

Littles was apprehended in relation to a domestic violence occurrence that happened on December 25, 2022, authorities say.

At the school, an arrest warrant was issued for fourth-degree assault and third-degree terroristic threatening.

Documents note that Littles had gone to his girlfriend’s residence where she was observed leaving with a former boyfriend.

While Littles engaged in a disagreement with her, he is said to have assaulted the ex-boyfriend. That person had wounds to his face and head.

When Hillview authorities came on the scene, Littles had already left.

The victim is also said to have a recording of the incident that was handed over to the Bullitt County Attorney’s Office a few days later.

Jefferson County Public Schools notified parents of the arrest that was unrelated to the district. An assistant principal has taken over for now.

The district added that Littles has been employed with the district for the past 16 years.
