Michelle Trachtenberg, Star of ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ and ‘Gossip Girl,’ Passes Away at 39

Michelle Trachtenberg, known for her roles in “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Gossip Girl,” has tragically passed away at the age of 39.

She was found dead in her New York City apartment by her mother. Recently, Trachtenberg had undergone a liver transplant and may have faced complications, although her death is believed to be from natural causes with no foul play suspected. An autopsy will be performed to confirm the cause of death.

Trachtenberg began her career as a child actress in Nickelodeon shows and gained prominence as Dawn on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” earning a Teen Choice Award nomination in 2001.
