On Saturday, Texas Tech inducted Michael Crabtree into the Texas Tech Ring of Honor.
Crabtree was a starting wide receiver in 2007 and 2008. In 2007, he made NCAA freshman history in three different sections: receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns. He was then named the Biletnik Award recipient.
In 2008, he accomplished 1,165 years receiving. He won the Biletnik Award again, making it the first time a person won the award two times in NCAA history.
The San Francisco 49ers picked him in the 10th round of the draft in 2009. He was there for six seasons and then went to the Raiders, Ravens, and Cardinals.
He finished his career with 637 receptions for 7,499 yards and 54 touchdowns.
When his career was over, he gave Texas Tech Athletics $100,000 matching gift to assist the Michael Crabtree Endowed Scholarship.
