Miami rapper, Baby Cino, was shot and killed within minutes of being released from jail on Wednesday.
Timothy Starks, otherwise known as Baby Cino, was released on bond for a gun charge on Wednesday afternoon. Baby Cino was with a driver in a red Nissan after just getting released from jail. While heading on the highway, another car pulled up and opened fire on the Nissan.
Starks was fatally hit after the shooter fired at least 40 rounds during the incident. The driver was also shot but survived from his injuries.
Police are investigating whether the shooting is linked to a string of other shootings that have been gang-related.
Baby Cino was a rising rapper in his neighborhood. His song “Big Haiti Shottas” was dedicated to 18-year-old Gary “Melo” Laguerre, who was killed in a drive-by shooting in 2020.
