Memphis Dad Builds Graduation Stage In Front Of His Home For Daughter To Walk Across

Although COVID-19 has taken graduation away from a lot of her graduates this year, it didn’t stop one Memphis dad from seeing his baby girl walk across that stage.
After Xavier University cancelled graduation for 2020 Torrence Burson decided to build a stage for his daughter in their front yard so she could have her own personal graduation.
Burson not only built a stage for his daughter to walk across but he had a podium for speeches and neighbors in the street as they cheered the young woman on.
When the day came she walked across the stage and cars drove by honking, cheering and yelling congratulations.
Gabrielle Pierce has plans to attend the Air National Guard and then study epidemiology.
