Police have arrested a woman in St. Louis, Missouri, after she is said to have shot a McDonald’s employee. The incident occurred as an argument, about discounted french fries, took place.
Authorities have said that Terika Clay, 30, went through the drive-thru on Wednesday afternoon. She then had a disagreement with the victim who was at the window.
Clay warned that she would shoot the woman, and they continued the dispute as the victim went on break. Camera footage at the scene showed Clay striking the woman with a gun prior to shooting her.
The victim underwent treatment at a medical facility for a superficial injury to the chest and was released.
Clay faces first-degree assault and armed criminal action charges.
Her bond was set at $150,000. If it is posted, she is not allowed to communicate with the victim or other workers at the McDonald’s. She must also distance herself from 1,000 from the victim and the dining establishment.
