On Friday, actor Anthony Mackie, 43, from New Orleans, Louisiana, purchased 20 acres of land in New Orleans. He will use the land to build a film and television production studio.
The Marvel Star received his acting training from the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. His choice to make productions in the state of Louisiana will make a positive impact for local economy and community.
Mackie purchased the land close to I-10 Service Road at Read Boulevard. This is near the Little Woods community.
Although all the details haven’t been disclosed, it has been said that Mackie plans to “christen his production company East Studios, LLC.”
Mackie’s Studio will assist in Louisiana film and television industry’s opportunities for intellectual property acquisitions, advertising, development, and productions.
