A man is in custody after he shot his 13 year old son and 21 year old stepdaughter in Mansfield Tuesday night.
On May 16, officers responded to a shooting call on Arabian Court. Upon arrival they located a 13 year old male and a 21 year old female suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Both of the victims were transported to area hospitals and listed in serious but stable condition.
While investigating authorities learned that a domestic situation had occurred between the 52 year old suspect and his wife. During that time he assaulted her and then went to retrieve a handgun.
After retrieving the weapon the suspect entered his sons room and shot him while he was sleeping and then proceeded to his stepdaughters room and shot her.
The mother was able to escape from the house while the daughter called 911. The suspect was arrested without incident and charged with three counts of Aggravated Assault Family Violence Serious Bodily Injury.
