Man With Drugs In His Vehicle Is Arrested After Looking For Safety At Sheriff’s Office

32-year-old Pedro Serrano arrived to the Harrison County, Texas, sheriff’s office this week. He stated that he feared for his life after feeling threatened by narcotics suppliers.

Around 2:40 p.m., on June 16, Serrano went into the office. He requested to speak with someone from the Joint Harrison County Violent Crime & Narcotics Task Force. He was then taken to a room to be questioned.

While the interview took place, authorities found a great amount of narcotics inside of Serrano’s car. It had been parked outside of the office. Serrano disclosed to deputies that he was there to seek refuge after not paying his narcotic suppliers, authorities say.

Law enforcement officers then decided to apprehend Serrano for the narcotics located in his vehicle. He fought and resisted arrest as he was being detained.

At some point, he was subdued and held in jail in Harrison County.

Documents note that 825 grams of methamphetamine were discovered in Serrano’s car.

He has been charged with possession of a controlled substance greater than 400g and resisting arrest/search.
